The information on CircadianMeals.com is for general education only. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan. Reading this site does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional before changing how or when you eat, especially if you have a medical condition or take medication.
Who should not use restricted eating windows without medical guidance
Circadian eating and time-restricted eating are not right for everyone. Please speak with a doctor first if any of the following apply to you:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have a history of an eating disorder, or any disordered relationship with food. Restricting eating windows can trigger relapse.
- You take insulin or other medication that lowers blood sugar. Changing meal timing can cause dangerous low blood sugar unless your medication is adjusted with medical supervision.
- You are a child or teenager, or you are underweight.
- You have diabetes, prediabetes, or any chronic condition affecting metabolism, digestion, or hormones.
On over-the-counter glucose monitors
Over-the-counter continuous glucose monitors mentioned on this site are consumer wellness tools, not diagnostic medical devices. They are not a substitute for medical blood testing and should not be used to diagnose or manage a medical condition. If you are worried about your blood sugar, see a doctor for proper testing.
On the evidence
We do our best to represent the research honestly, including its limits. Nutrition science evolves, individual results vary widely, and no single eating pattern is right for every body. What works in a study average may not work for you. Use judgment, listen to your body, and involve a professional for anything medical.
Emergencies
If you feel faint, shaky, confused, or unwell while changing your eating pattern, eat something and seek medical help. Nothing on this site is worth risking your health over.
